This unique work is designed to illustrate the inner journey made by one of the leading artists of our time
The box set features a large-size volume, Mi mundo en imágenes, with a foreword by Marco Meneguzzo, and an original work that Pablo Atchugarry crafted from Cameroonian ayous wood in only sixty copies for his exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Milan in 2019.
These 60 original ayous wood sculptures are designed to fit, along with the book, in a fir wood box.
With this limited edition, Pablo Atchugarry is offering us two things: an original, unique work and an art book/diary that illustrates his career through pictures and reflections.
In the volume Mi mundo en imágenes the artist explores his memory and traces a fragmentary outline of his life, with its passions and emotions: an intimate itinerary across his artistic career. The 40 x 60 cm volume brings together 312 plates by the artist printed in colour on 150 g Tatami Ivory and 200 g Tatami White sheets, for a total of 344 pages. Bodonian binding with birch wood boards dressed in embossed Cialux cloth.
Pablo Atchugarry invites us to join him in a game of discovery and memory where each square corresponds to a significant moment in his research, which has an absolute form of his art as its final outcome.
